READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team opened up the 2019-20 season with a 5-3 setback to Cabrini University on Monday afternoon at Gring's Mill Tennis Courts.

Berks picked up one point in doubles action when the top duo of Erin Maloney and Nicole Meek picked up a thrilling 8-6 victory over Sydney Lynch and Alyssa Madden. The Nittany Lions were edged 8-2 and 8-0 at No. 2 and No. 3.

Maloney and Meek accounted for the teams other two points with wins in singles. Maloney was a 6-0, 6-2 winner over Lynch at No. 1 singles, while Meek won second singles by a score of 4-6, 6-0, 6-4 over Raechal Aviles.
