Baseball falls to Abington, will face Keuka in elimination game

ABINGTON, PA - The Penn State Berks baseball team fell to Penn State Abington, 20-4, and will now have to do things the hard way in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Tournament.

Berks (23-14) scored three runs in the top of the first inning, but it was downhill from there. Abington (22-15) scored five runs in the bottom half of the inning and led 9-4 at the end of three. Abington would close out the game with 11 unanswered runs to move onto a winner's bracket match with Wells College on Saturday.

Eric Gale went 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Mason Pennypacker was 1-for-4 with two runs scored and two stolen bases. Austin Madeja had one hit and scored a run, while Toby Welk also scored one time.

Berks will travel to face Keuka College in an elimination game on Saturday, May 11 at 9 a.m.
