Softball set to host final four of NEAC Championship

READING, PA - After winning the 2019 Regular Season, the Penn State Berks softball team has won the right to host final four of the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Postseason Tournament this weekend.

With the completion of Tuesday's First Round games, the four teams competing this weekend are set. Penn State Berks (No. 1 seed) will host (No. 4 seed) Keuka College on Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m. Keuka defeated SUNY Poly, 5-1, on Tuesday to advance in the tournament. Penn College (No. 2 seed) will be the home team against (No. 3 seed) SUNY Cobleskill at 12 p.m. on Friday. Penn College earned a 5-2 victory over Penn State Abington in the play-in contest on Tuesday.

The winners of Game 1 and 2 will face off on Friday at 2 p.m., followed by the losing teams of the two games at 4 p.m. in the first elimination game of the weekend. On Saturday, May 4, the winner of Game 4 will take on the loser of Game 3 in another elimination game. The winner of Game 3 and Game 5 will play at 12 p.m. with the possibility of the NEAC Champion being crowned. In the event the previously unbeaten team loses in Game 6, the 'If Necessary' Game 7 will be played at 3 p.m.
