Women's tennis tops Cabrini, 7-2

RADNOR, PA - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team picked up a 7-2 win on the road over Cabrini College in a non-conference match on Monday afternoon on the Dixon Courts.

The Nittany Lions improve to 3-8 on the year, while Cabrini falls to 0-12.

Alyssa Miller and Lexi Vidal teamed up for an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles, while Deismy Jimenez and Nicole Meek won by a similar score in the second flight.

In singles action, Miller grabbed a 6-0, 6-0 triumph in the top spot. Vidal (No. 2) won her match 6-2, 6-3, while Jimenez (No. 3) was a 6-1, 6-3 winner. Meek followed with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 4, while Tessa Caltagirone capped off the match with a 6-3, 6-3 win at the fifth spot.

The Nittany Lions will travel to the College of Saint Elizabeth for a NEAC contest on Saturday, April 13 at 12 p.m.
