READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team suffered a 6-3 setback to Lancaster Bible College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Saturday afternoon at Gring's Mill Tennis Courts.

The Nittany Lions (2-8, 1-1 NEAC) dropped two of the three doubles matches to fall into an early 2-1 deficit. The No. 1 duo of Alyssa Miller and Lexi Vidal defeated Greta Strunk and Kayla Hubbard by a score of 8-5.

In singles action, Vidal won an 8-6 thriller in the first set tiebreaker en route to a 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles. Tessa Caltagirone accounted for the Nittany Lions other point after winning 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 in fifth singles.

The women's tennis joined men's tennis and softball in hosting their annual Pink Game fundraiser to benefit the Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Cabrini University for a non-conference match on Monday, April 8 at 3:30 p.m.
