Women's tennis falls on the road to Harrisburg

MIDDLETOWN, PA - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 setback on the road to Penn State Harrisburg in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

Harrisburg jumped out to a 2-1 lead at the end of doubles play. Berks' tandem of Alyssa Miller and Lexi Vidal claimed an 8-3 victory at the No. 1 spot, while Harrisburg won 8-0 at No. 2 and 8-3 at No. 3.

In singles play, Tessa Caltagirone took her opponent to three sets, but came out on the wrong end of a 7-5, 1-6, 10-3 decision. Deismy Jimenez put up a fight at the No. 3 flight, but was topped 6-3, 6-4.

The Nittany Lions will begin NEAC play when they host Penn College on Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m.
