MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The Penn State Berks women's basketball team dropped its season finale, 87-83, to the College of Saint Elizabeth in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) South Division contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions held a 22-13 lead after the first quarter and upped their lead to 18 points (36-17) with 6:53 left in the second period. But the Eagles closed out the quarter on a 20-4 run to make it just a three point lead (40-37) in Berks' favor at the half. CSE outscored the Nittany Lions 26-23 in the third quarter to send the teams into the final 10 minutes of play deadlocked at 63-63. The Eagles built an eight point cushion (76-68) with 6:05 to go, but senior Deanna Daddona would not let her collegiate career end without a fight. Daddona pulled the Nittany Lions within two points on two occasions, while scoring 12 of the teams final 16 points down the stretch. The Eagles did not allow the game to get any closer than two points over that stretch and used timely 3-pointers and solid free throw shooting to secure the victory.

Daddona led all scorers with a season-high 24 points, 21 of which she recorded in the second half. The senior guard shot 6-of-15 from the field, including a 5-of-10 performance from 3-point range. This was the 10th time in Daddona's career that made five or more 3's in a game. In addition, she went a perfect 7-for-7 at the free throw line. Daddona grabbed a team-high seven rebounds to go along with four assists and one steal in 40 minutes of action.
