Men's basketball falls in first ever meeting with Gettysburg

GETTYSBURG, PA - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team fell 98-54 on the road to Gettysburg College in the first ever meeting between the two teams in a non-conference contest on Wednesday night at Bream Gym.

The Nittany Lions (0-4) trailed 11-10 with 14:27 left in the opening half, but the Bullets (3-0) were able to take a commanding lead after going on a 21-3 run over the next six-plus minutes of action. Berks trailed 54-28 at halftime and were unable to overcome its deficit in the second half.

Shakim Davis led the Nittany Lions after going 4-of-7 from 3-point range for a season-high 16 points. Anthony McFall connected on two shots from beyond the arc and finished with seven points, while Jeff Lorah had one triple and recorded five points. Hassan Koroma and Mohamed Coulibaly tied for the team-lead with four rebounds each. Xavian Rodriguez and Jared Houck both finished with three assists.

ALex Leder and Nick Lord tied for the team lead for the Bullets with 19 points. Ryan McKeon had a game-high seven boards, while three other members for Gettysburg notched six rebounds.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Cairn University for a non-conference contest on Saturday, November 23 at 6 p.m.
