Men's tennis falls to DeSales, 7-2

CENTER VALLEY, PA - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to DeSales University in a non-conference contest on Friday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions fall to 0-2 on the season, while the Bulldogs improve to 4-1 overall.

Diego Olazagasti and Curtis Uhle pulled out a thrilling 8-6 win in the top spot to deny the Bulldogs from sweeping doubles play. Nicholas Weber and Collin Hall put up a fight at No. 2 doubles, but Will Pollick and Nolan Beck came out on top 8-4. In third doubles, Sneh Patel and Nick Ohline were topped by Ahmad Kanan and Brahm Buoy by a score of 8-3.

In singles action, Weber came back from an early deficit in both sets en route to a 7-5, 6-4 victory in the third slot. Uhle (No. 2) won 6-2 in the opening set, but fell 6-1 in the second set and was topped 10-6 in the super tiebreak.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Alvernia University for a contest on Wednesday, October 9 at 3 p.m.
