Men's and women's tennis finish off trip to Orlando

ORLANDO, FL - The Penn State Berks men's and women's tennis programs finished off the annual spring break trip with matches against Morningside College on Thursday and Regis College on Friday afternoon.

The men's team lost to Morningside by a score of 7-2 and fell 8-1 to Regis, while the women were edged 5-4 by Morningside and dropped an 8-1 decision to Regis.

Against Morningside, Diego Olazagasti picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles and Federico Ochoa won his No. 5 singles match 7-6 (8-6), 6-1. Shane Leaf wont a three-set thriller by scores of 6-4, 2-6, 10-7 for the team's lone point against Regis.

The women's squad earned three points through forfeit against Morningside. Alyssa Miller grabbed the other point for Berks after coming back at No. 1 singles by set scores of 4-6, 7-5, 10-5. Against Regis, Miller and Violet Tran pulled off an 8-6 victory at the No. 2 doubles flight.

The women's squad is set to host Cabrini University on Tuesday, March 13 at 3:30 p.m. The men will not return to action until they travel to Misericordia College on Sunday, March 25 at 1 p.m.
