Men's tennis tops Immaculata, 9-0

IMMACULATA, PA - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team picked up a 9-0 victory on the road over Immaculata University in a non-conference contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions (2-0) grabbed an 8-1 win from the No. 1 doubles team of Mostafa Rahmy and Diego Olazagasti. The No. 2 duo of Federico Ochoa and Jeremy Heist blanked their opponents, 8-0, while Shane Leaf and Sneh Patel were 8-1 winners in the third doubles flight.

Olazagasti won in the top singles bout by a count of 6-1, 6-0, while Rahmy (No. 2) and Grant Batzer (No. 6) were 6-0, 6-1 winners in their respective matches. Ochoa picked up a 6-1, 6-3 triumph at third singles and Heist followed at the fourth spot with a 6-2, 6-3 victory. Leaf earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 5 to complete the sweep.

The Nittany Lions will face Cabrini University in their final match of the fall season on Friday, October 6 at 3:30 p.m.
