NEAC Championship: Schedule update and Tournament Preview

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks softball team is set to host the 2017 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Softball Championship this weekend from Friday, May 5 through Sunday, May 7. The winner of the six-team, double-elimination tournament will earn the automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Regional Tournament.

Due to the expected rain storm, the opening games have been pushed back and will cause a change to the overall schedule. The first game of the tournament between Penn College (North No. 2 seed) and Penn State Abington (South No. 3 seed) will now be played at 2 p.m. on Friday afternoon. The contest between Wilson College (South No. 2 seed) and Cazenovia College (North No. 3 seed) will now be scheduled for 4 p.m. on Friday. Berks will face off against the game 1 winner on Saturday morning at 8 a.m., followed by Keuka College (North No. 1 seed) against the game 2 winner on Saturday at 10 a.m.
