Men's tennis tops Penn College on the road

WILLIAMSPORT, PA - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team topped Penn College, 7-2, on the road in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions improve to 7-5 overall and 2-0 in the NAC, while the Wildcats fall to 0-6 on the season and drop to 0-1 in the conference.

The Wildcats earned their wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles due to forfeit by Berks. The Nittany Lions managed wins in the other two doubles bouts to jump out to a 2-1 lead in the early going. The No. 1 team of Will Byler and Ryan Fritz won by a score of 8-0, while the No. 2 duo of Omar Rahmy and Mostafa Rahmy edged out their opponents with an 8-5 triumph.

Byler earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles, while Fritz (No. 2), O. Rahmy (No. 3), M. Rahmy (No. 4), and Nick Volk (No. 6) all won by a score of 6-0, 6-0 in their singles matches.

The Nittany Lions return to action with a non-conference match on Monday, April 17 at home against Immaculata University.
