Women's basketball falls at home to Bryn Athyn

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's basketball a home tilt to Bryn Athyn College, 77-58, in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) South Division contest on Wednesday evening in the Beaver Community Center.

The Nittany Lions drop to 6-12 on the season and 6-10 in the NEAC, while Bryn Athyn improves to 16-3 overall and 12-2 in the conference.

Deanna Daddona drained five baskets from 3-point range and finished with a contest-high 21 points to go along with five assist and four steals in 40 minutes of action. Elise Paskowski turned in a solid performance with a career-high 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the floor. The freshman forward also registered eight rebounds. Sam Huggins notched her eighth double-double of the season after recording 10 points and 16 boards. Sam Brensinger chipped in nine points, six rebounds, and five assists.

Kristina Clark and Keana Schoennagle led Bryn Athyn with 16 pints each, with Clark also adding 10 boards, five assists, and three blocked shots. Sarah Atunrase recorded a double-double with 12 rebounds and 10 blocked shots.

The women's squad teamed up with the men's squad to host Pink Game fundraisers to benefit the Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County. Both teams donned pink shirts during warm-ups and held half court shooting contests at halftime of their respective games.

The Nittany Lions will host Lancaster Bible College in a NEAC contest on Saturday, February 11 at 1 p.m.
