Men's tennis moves past LBC in the semi's

CLARKS SUMMIT, PA - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team claimed a 5-0 win over Lancaster Bible College in the semifinal round of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division Tournament on Friday evening at the Birchwood Tennis Courts.

The Nittany Lions (9-6) jumped out to a commanding lead by taking all three of the doubles bouts. The duo of Drew Weinhold and Will Byler defeated Daniel Fabrick and Tedd Holbrook by a score of 8-1 in the No. 1 doubles flight, while Ryan Fritz and Shesh Patel won by the same score in second doubles. Dylan Deleon and Angel Negron finished off the sweep with an 8-2 victory out of the third spot.

Fritz then earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at the No. 3 singles and Deleon clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph out of fifth singles.

The Nittany Lions will face Penn State Abington in the title match on Saturday, April 30 at 10 a.m.
