Men's tennis sweeps Keuka on the road

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team swept Keuka College, 9-0, in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) West Division contest on Sunday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions won their fifth straight contest to improve to 7-5 overall and 3-0 in the NAC, while the Wolfpack fall to 1-10 on the season and 1-3 in the conference.

Ryan Fritz and Jerrad Seifrit partnered up for an 8-3 victory out of the No. 1 doubles bout, while Angel Negron and Nick Volk grabbed an 8-1 win at the second spot. Shesh Patel and Dylan Deleon finished off the doubles sweep by earning an 8-1 win in the third flight.

In singles action, Drew Weinhold was a 6-1, 6-2 win out of the top spot, while Will Byler won by walkover in the second flight. Fritz (No. 3) won 6-0, 6-1, followed by Negron (No. 4) with a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Volk earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 5, while Owen Jones rounded out the winners with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph in the sixth flight.

The Nittany Lions will host Bryn Athyn College in a conference tilt on Wednesday, April 20 at 4 p.m.
