Men's tennis cruises past Rosemont

ROSEMONT, PA - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team picked up a 9-0 win over Rosemont in a non-conference contest on Monday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions (3-5) won by scores of 8-0 in all three of the doubles matches. Drew Weinhold and Will Byler earned the win at No. 1 doubles, while Angel Negron and Nick Volk were winners at second doubles. Ryan Fritz and Jerrad Seifrit teamed up for the win out of the third spot.

Berks continued its strong performance in singles play, where they were 6-0, 6-0 straight set winners in each match. Owen Jones, who was the only singles player that did not play in doubles action, picked up a win at the No. 6 singles flight.

The Nittany Lions will host Penn College of Technology in the conference opener on Saturday, April 2 at 1 p.m.
