Men's basketball halted by Gallaudet

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team had its three-game win streak snapped in a 107-79 setback to Gallaudet University in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Friday afternoon at Beaver Community Center.

The Nittany Lions trailed 52-38 at halftime and were not able to chip away at the deficit in the second half.

Baba Waples made a personal best four 3-pointers and was 11-for-15 from the free throw line en route to a career-high 35 points. The junior guard tallied 26 of those points in the second half, where he finish 6-of-15 from the floor and made all of his trips to the charity stripe. Waples also record five rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Joel Ellison also turned in a career performance, finishing with 17 points of 8-of-9 shooting from the floor. The junior forward pulled down six boards to go along with his two assists. Michael Aldridge grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds for the Nittany Lions.

Trey Gordon led the Bison offense with 29 points, while teammate Raymond Nelson chiped in 16 points and handed out seven assists. Joshua McGriff had a game-high 14 points and five blocked shots.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Bryn Athyn College for a NEAC South Division contest on Tuesday, February 2 at 6 p.m.
