Women's volleyball sweep tri-match

READING, PA (September 11, 2015) - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team earned a pair of 3-1 victories over Wilkes University and Keystone College in a tri-match on Friday evening at Beaver Community Center.

The Nittany Lions (2-4) won the opener over Wilkes by scores of 25-19, 25-15, 14-25, 25-21. Cassidy Schultz continued her strong start to the season, finishing with a team-high 13 kills while also recording eight digs. Addie Parsons chipped in 12 kills, followed by Heleanna Davison with nine and Jenny Von Holt with eight. Megan DeAbreu had a contest-best 25 digs, while Corinne Watson handed out 40 assists.

Berks won the second contest by game scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-18, 25-15. Parsons recorded a career-high 18 kills, while also adding eight digs and three service aces. Davison added eight kills and three solo blocks. DeAbreu recorded 24 digs and Watson had 36 assists.

The Nittany Lions will compete in a tri-match at Alvernia University on Saturday, September 12 at 10 a.m. They will then turn around and play Trinity (D.C.) at 12 p.m.
