Women's volleyball earns 3-0 win over Albright

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team picked up a 3-0 win over Albright College in a non-conference contest on Friday evening at Beaver Community Center.

The contest was the Nittany Lions (16-10) Pink Game fundraiser, which they hosted along with the men's and women's soccer teams this past week. The volleyball team raised $211.21 through donations at the door and received donations in a service contest between the second and third game. Members of SAAC also sold "Fall Pink Game" T-shirts to help raise money. All of these fundraisers combined to make $947.21 to go to the Breast Cancer Support Services of Berks County. Berks, who hosted its first home match since September 14 pulled off a comeback 25-22 win in the opening game followed by scores of 25-18 and 25-22.

Cassidy Schultz led the team with 10 kills, 11 digs and four service aces, while Addie Parsons chipped in nine kills and 12 digs. Heleanna Davison added eight kills and two solo blocks. Corinne Watson handed out 33 assists and Megan DeAbreu recorded a team-high 14 digs.

The Nittany Lions will wrap up the regular season with a non-conference match at home on Tuesday, October 27 at 7 p.m. against Delaware Valley University. Prior to the contest, the Nittany Lions will honor Davison and Schultz on Senior Day.
