Nittany Lions fall on the road to Albright

READING, PA (November 19, 2014) - The Penn State Berks men's basketball team dropped a 90-57 decision in a non-conference contest against Albright College on Wednesday evening in the Bollman Center.

The Nittany Lions (0-2) starters outscored Albright by a 50-42 margin, but the difference was the production from the bench. The Lions (2-1) received 48 points from their reserves, while Berks added only seven.

Dameon Nixon led the Nittany Lions with a contest-high 15 points, six assists, and three rebounds. Christian Burggraf connected on three 3-pointers and finished with 14 points, while Nygel Belizaire chipped in 10 points, nine rebounds, and a career-high five blocked shots. Belizaire has recorded a total of nine blocked shots through the two games so far this season.

Albright had five players reach double digits in scoring, led by Josh Marquez with 14. Evan Ward notched a double-double with 11 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

The Nittany Lions return to action with a non-conference tilt at Delaware Valley College on Saturday, November 22 at 3 p.m.
