Women's soccer blanks SUNYIT

READING, PA (October 19, 2014) - The Penn State Berks women's soccer team picked up another North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) win after downing SUNY Institute of Technology 5-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions gained their 13th straight victory and fifth straight shutout with their most recent dominating performance. They outshot the Wildcats by a 26-3 margin and held a 5-0 advantage on corner kicks.

Dana Sarcinello tallied three goals in the span of 11 minutes to help expand the Nittany Lions lead. Ellie McKinstry scored in the 19th minute for a 1-0 lead, which is how the game would stay until Sarcinello's first goal at the 60:27 mark of the contest. Chrissy Smith had the final goal of the game and was also credited with an assist on the opening score. Lizzie Mummau had two assists, while Brennan Moyer and Kelly Medence each had one.

Savannah Cramer had two saves and Zoe Fletcher had one as the duo combined on another shutout.

Prior to the game, Cramer, Emily Rumpf, and Katie Warner were honored for their amazing contributions over the past few years with Senior Day Festivities.

The Nittany Lions will travel to the College of St. Elizabeth for a non-conference contest on Tuesday, October 21 at 3:30 p.m.
