READING, PA (October 1, 2014) - T.J. Yurkovic played a role in all three of the goals scored to help lead the Penn State Berks men's soccer team to a thrilling 3-2 win over visiting Delaware Valley College on Wednesday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions jumped out to an early 2-0 lead midway through the first half, but Delaware Valley with 4:06 and 3:07 left until intermission. Berks scored in the 52nd minute and were able to hold off the Aggies the rest of the way.

Yurkovic crossed a pass from the left corner in front of all of the defenders and Michael Peguero scored his first goal of the season when he sent a shot into the far, back post just 3:42 into the match. In the 16th minute, Hayden Rowe sent a direct kick from just outside the 20 that banged off of the cross bar and fell down into the box. Yurkovic then swooped in redirected the rebound through the open right side.

Joe Budnovitch dribbled through the open midfield and sent a through ball past a group of defenders that Yurkovic tracked down outside the 20. He then took a couple of touches and unleashed a line drive past the diving keeper and into the back of the net.

Kyle Baker finished the game with eight saves to record his first win of the season.

Berks had an 18-17 edge in shots, including a 13-9 margin in the first half. The Aggies held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks, all five coming in the first half.
