Men's soccer wins nailbiter over SUNY Cobleskill

COBLESKILL, N.Y. (September 29, 2013)  - The Penn State Berks men's soccer team pulled out a thrilling 2-1 road victory over SUNY Cobleskill in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Sunday afternoon. (Boxscore)

Bobby Bishop provided the winning goal for the Nittany Lions in the 76th minute. The sophomore midfielder knocked a loose ball into the back of the net during a scramble in the box for his first goal of the season. Isaiah Danner gave Berks a 1-0 lead when he delfected a ball past the keeper at the 41:02 mark of the opening half.

Steven Seelman scored the equalizer in the 64th minute with a blast from the 18.

Darrell Geisinger earned the win in net after recording five saves. The sophomore keeper has made 48 saves this season, which is the second most in the NEAC.

Berks out shot the Tigers by a 15-7 margin, but Cobleskill held an 8-5 advantage in corner kicks.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Stevenson University for a non-conference contest on Wednesday, October 2 at 4 p.m.
