Women’s basketball drops home opener to Albright College



READING, PA (November 20, 2012) – The Penn State Berks women's basketball team lost to cross town rival Albright College, 71-43, in a non-conference contest on Tuesday evening at Beaver Community Center. (Boxscore)

The Nittany Lions (0-3) finished with three players in double-figures. Freshman guard Breah Strickler had a team-high 11, which was also a personal-best. Strickler also recorded seven rebounds and handed out two assists.

Sherrie Satchel and Nichole Young-Trapp each chipped in 10 points. Satchel has finished with 10 or more points in all three of the Nittany Lions' contests this season. She also registered six assists, three blocks shots, and two steals. Young-Trapp had a team-high eight rebounds and was 4-for-4 from the foul line.

Albright received 14 points from Kelecia Harris, while Kristi McFadden added 12 and Meghan Boyle had 10. Harris notched a double-double with her contest-high 10 boards.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Immaculata University for a non-conference contest on Wednesday, November 28 at 7 p.m.
