READING, PA (September 24, 2011) – The Penn State Berks women's volleyball team kept its momentum going with shutouts over Wilkes University and Montclair State University on Saturday afternoon at Beaver Community Center.

The Nittany Lions (9-1) cruised to a 3-0 win over Wilkes with game scores of 25-18, 25-16, 25-14. They took the nightcap by scores of 25-18, 25-15 and 25-15 over the Red Hawks (7-11). Montclair State split their matches after beating Wilkes 3-2.

The power duo of AMY SHELTON and KAYLA MOSSER led the Nittany Lions on the day. Shelton racked up 20 kills in the two matches, including a match-high 12 in the second contest. Mosser recorded 16 kills and led Berks in the first match with 11. Shelton combined for six service aces.

Victoria Young led the defensive effort with 31 digs (16, 15). Against Montclair State, the freshman libero matched a season-high in aces with six. COURTNEY LUCARELLI finished with 20 digs, 14 coming against the Colonels (1-11).

Kaitlyn Schmeck had 30 assists against Wilkes, the fifth time this season that she reached that mark. She had 23 against the Red Hawks.

Paige Trusty had six kills and Erin Nothstein had 16 digs to lead Wilkes against the Nittany Lions. Montclair State was led by Alyssa Batiste's four kills and three service aces.

The Nittany Lion s will travel to Valley Forge Christian College on Tuesday, September 27 at 5 p.m.
