Men’s soccer blanked by Mighty Macs

IMMACULATA, PA (October 25, 2011) – The Penn State Berks men's soccer team suffered a 5-0 defeat on the road to Immaculata University in a non-conference contest Tuesday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium.

The Nittany Lions were unable to get much offense generated and were limited to just five shots – four on goal – while Immaculata had 16 of its 25 shots on net.

Sophomore keeper Jonathan Jablonka recorded 11 saves, marking the seventh time this season he reached double figures. His 145 stops this season are 53 more than the next closest keeper in the conference. That total ranks Jablonka second in the nation.

Kiernan Boone registered two of the Nittany Lions shots while Bryan Fellin, Emmanuel Caesar and Evan Steigerwalt each had one.

Berks will host Penn State Harrisburg in its season-finale on Saturday, October 29 at 1 p.m. The four Nittany Lion seniors will be honored prior to the start of the contest.
