Women's tennis drops nonconference match

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team lost its nonconference contest, 9-0, at Alvernia University on Wednesday afternoon.

Rebecca Loewenstein-Harting and Liz Martinez put up a valiant effort in the third doubles flight, but Katherine Ghiorzi and Jennifer Innamorato pulled it out 9-7.

In the third singles spot, Aimee Hoffman dropped a hard fought battle by set scores of 6-3 and 6-2.

The women will return to action on Saturday, October 2 when they host Neumann College at 1 p.m.
