READING, PA - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team dropped a 5-4 match to Neumann College on Saturday afternoon.
The Nittany Lions took two of doubles matches, but the Knights clinched the win after taking four singles bouts.
Rebecca Loewenstein-Harting won both of her matches. She teamed with Liz Martinez to win 8-1 in third doubles and was a 6-1, 6-3 winner at the fifth singles spot.
Aimee Hoffman and Samantha Warga defeated Jennie Greenlee and Gabby Porcelli 8-1 in the second doubles.
The fourth Berks victory came from Meghan Hartley in the sixth singles flight. She had a convincing 6-1, 6-2 win against Mercedes Lopes.
Amanda Fuller lost in the second singles, but not without a fight. After dropping the first set 6-2, Fuller battled hard but lost 7-6 after Michelle Steward won the tiebreaker 7-4.
The women will return to action on Wednesday, October 6 when they host Lancaster Bible at 3:30 p.m.
