Kristin Hawley has transitioned into the role of Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations & Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) for the Penn State Berks Athletic Department.

Hawley will serve the athletic department as its main contact for transportation. She will assist with the departments budget planning.  Along with the additional duties of her expanded role, Hawley's new designation will allow her to focus on her primary responsibilities as SWA, the highest-ranking female in each NCAA athletic department or conference office, as well as the athletic department's primary liaison with to Penn St. Berk’s Admissions Office.

Prior to transition to a role in the department's administration, Hawley led the Penn State Berks Women's Basketball Team for 10 seasons, from 2014-2025, going 53-178 during her time has the Head Coach. Hawley helped guide five players to earn All-Conference Honors. 

Hawley was a four-year member of the King's College women's basketball team. In 2005, she was named All-Freedom Conference First Team, Mid-Atlantic Region First Team, All-American Fourth Team. Hawley also was a Mary Beth Bowler Award recipient and was named the King's College Female Athlete of the Year in 2005.

She was a three-sport standout in volleyball, basketball and track and field at Holy Name High School. In volleyball, Hawley was part of the Berks County and District Champion squad that reached the state semifinal round. She was an All-State First Team selection in 2000. In basketball, Hawley was a 1,000 point scorer and named the Berks County Player of the Year in 2001. The 2001 team were county and district champs and reached the semifinal round at states.

Hawley graduated from King's College in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Education with a Certification in Special Education. She received a Master's Degree in Education with a Principal Certification from Cabrini College.
