Mandy McClune completed her seventh season as the head coach of the softball team in 2012. In that time, McClune has amassed an overall record of 112-135 and a conference record of 90-44.

The Nittany Lions finished the 2012 season with a 12-26 overall mark, while finishing third in the NEAC South Division with a 12-8 record. Berks was knocked out of the NEAC Tournament after losing in the opening round and consolation bracket to SUNYIT. The Nittany Lions had three student-athletes earn All-NEAC recognition.

In the 2011 season, McClune guided the Nittany Lions to 18-19 record and was named the NEAC South Division Co-Coach of the Year. The Nittany Lions lost to Wilson College in the South Division title game. McClune had six players named to the All-Conference teams, including five on the first team.

McClune is no stranger on the sidelines here at Berks serving as an assistant coach from 2000 until 2005. In her first season at the helm Berks finished with a 14-12 overall record and went 12-8 in the NEAC. Her young team advanced to the NEAC playoffs and gained valuable experience in post season play. The 2008 season started off as a learning experience with the team losing fifteen of their first sixteen games before running off fourteen straight victories. The women finished the 2008 season 19-22 record and going 14-4 in the NEAC earning a spot in their third straight postseason appearance.     

Coach McClune was a four year starter at Fleetwood High School where she earned Team MVP honors and was named Female Athlete of the year after her junior and senior campaigns. After a successful high school career she continued her playing days at Alvernia College as a starter for 4 years and earned All-Conference Honors after her junior and senior years.  

Coach McClune graduated from Alvernia College with a degree in Physical Therapy. She currently works at Grand Slam as a pitching instructor.
