Career: After three seasons, Hafer has established herself as one of the top hitters and pitchers to play for Penn State Berks. She ranks among the top-10 in nearly every statistical category. During her junior season, Hafer became just the fifth member in program-history to record 100 hits and raised the total to 129 by the end of the season. She is 27 hits away from being the all-time leader at Penn State Berks. In addition, she ranks second in doubles (25), home runs (5), and is third in RBI (90). Hafer ranks fourth all-time in runs scored (88) and games started (108).
2014: Dominated at the plate and in the pitcher's circle during her junior season...was named the NEAC South Pitcher of the Year and earned All-NEAC First Team hnors for the third time in her career...was named NEAC Tournament MVP after another dominating performance in the postseason...in the tournament she had a 1.06 ERA with 14 strikeouts and just 12 hits allowed in 17.0 innings of work...she hit a home run in three consecutive postseason games (final two NEAC Tournament games and NCAA Regional opener)...had a 16 game hitting streak in the middle of the season…batted .482 during the hitting streak and raised her season batting average by from .143 to .369…for the season, batted .364 (47-for129) with eight doubles, five home runs, 40 RBI, and 38 runs scored…her home run total is the second most in a season at Berks, while the 40 RBI are tied for the third most…set the school record for wins (18), innings pitched (131.1), complete games (20), and tied her record with 21 games started…her seven shutouts are the second most in program history, while her 116 strikeouts are the third highest…was 20th in the nation with her seven shutouts and 90th in strikeouts...ranks fourth in ERA (2.26) and batting average against (.223)…recorded 127 putouts and 39 assists…had a .965 fielding percentage.
2013: Started in 38 of the 40 games that she appeared in…split time between third base and pitcher…was an All-NEAC South Division First Team selection for the second time in her career…was named the tournament MVP after going 3-0 with a 2.84 ERA and 19 strikeouts to lead Berks to its first NEAC Championship title in school history…batted .311 (38-for-122) with five doubles, one triple, 31 RBI, and 19 runs scored…went 17-4 with a 2.69 ERA and struck out 124 batters…set single-season school records in strikeouts, pitching starts (21), and innings pitched (130.1)…tied for the single-season record in wins, while ranking second all-time in pitching appearances (23), shutouts (4), and her 16 completes games are third best at Berks…her career-high 12 strikeouts against Gallaudet University is the third most in school history for a single game…had 10 multi-hit games, including four games with three hits…recorded 13 putouts, 50 assists, and had a .940 fielding percentage.
2011: Set the single-season school record for lowest ERA with 1.80 in 40.0 innings…made 13 pitching appearances and three starts…recorded two complete games and one shutout…had a 3-1 record with 49 strikeouts and held the opposition to a .211 batting average against…batted .393 (44-for-112), which was third on the team…led the team with 12 doubles, while here .518 slugging percentage and 58 total bases were second most…collected 14 multi-hit games…had 150 putouts and a team-best .976 fielding percentage.
