Women's tennis drops road match to Muhlenberg

ALLENTOWN, PA - The Penn State Berks women's tennis closed out the fall semester with a 9-0 setback to Muhlenberg College in non-conference action on Monday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions drop to 0-3 on the season, while the Mules improve to 2-3 overall.

Bel Clayton and Naomi Fay were topped 8-1 at the No. 1 doubles spot, while Sam Hagenbush and Makenzie Shoop fell by a similar score in the third spot.

Fay was edged 6-2, 6-2 at second singles, while Clayton fell by a 6-0, 6-2 margin. Jules Lesher (No. 5) dropped her singles bout by a 6-0, 6-1 score.

The Nittany Lions will compete in nine contests in the spring semester, beginning with a home match against McDaniel College on Saturday, March 23 at 12 p.m.
