Arizona Shreck had a one-out double in the top of the first inning, but she was left stranded. In the bottom half of the inning, the Gulls (31-12) scratched out three runs (two earned) on four hits and one Berks miscue.

In the top of the second, Emily Strupp reached on an error but was left on first base. Endicott again had four hits and capitalized on a Berks error to push across two more runs, giving them a 5-0 lead.

Susan Duncan drilled a home run to left field in the top of the third to get the Nittany Lions on the scoreboard. Later that inning, Shreck singled and Peyton Vivian singled to center to put two on with one out. The Rams got out of the jam after forcing a pair of fly outs.

Briana Smith came on in relief and allowed just two hits and struck out two in 4.0 scoreless innings.

Vivian finished the game 2-for-3, while Duncan and Shreck each had a hit.

Over the course of the spring, the Nittany Lions made great strides and improved every day. Berks finished the season with an overall record of 27-13 and won its seventh conference title in program history. Every player on the team contributed to the success, which was most evident this weekend. Lone senior Erin Spatz will be missed for her contributions on and off the field. With the core group of the team returning and the addition of the incoming recruiting class, Berks will look to make its way back to the national stage.
