Women's tennis tripped up by Penn College

WILLIAMSPORT, PA - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team was topped 9-0 on the road by Penn College in an United East contest on Tuesday afternoon.

Cassie Shoupe and Madison Hetrick fell 8-1 at No. 1 doubles, while Madyson Sanzotta and Sam Hagenbush fell by a similar score at the second spot.

Shoupe batted in No. 1 singles bout, but came up just short in the third set super tie-breaker. She won the first set 7-5, before falling 6-2 and Delaney Bouton had a 14-12 triumph in the tiebreak. Bailey Rocker also gave her opponent a fight, but came out on the wrong end of a 6-4, 6-3 decision at third singles.

The Nittany Lions will host St. Mary's College on Saturday, April 16 at 11 a.m.
