Women's tennis falls on the road to Abington

ABINGTON, PA - The Penn State Berks women's tennis team fell 9-0 on the road to Penn State Abington in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Monday afternoon.

The No. 1 duo of Blair Eckel and Morgan Reigthneour suffered an 8-3 setback, while Meredith Hill and Madison Hetrick fell by a score of 8-2 at the second spot.

In singles action, Eckel was topped 6-4, 6-4 by Carly Martinson at the No. 1 spot. Hill put up a fight at No. 3 singles, but was edged 7-5, 6-3 by Michelle Ly, while Lesley Casanas dropped a 6-1, 7-6 decision at the No. 4 flight.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Penn State Harrisburg for the regular season finale on Tuesday, April 20 at 3:30 p.m.
