Men's tennis cruises to win over Abington

ABINGTON, PA - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team picked up an 9-0 victory on the road over Penn State Abington in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) contest on Monday afternoon.

The duo of Nick Weber and Collin Hall won by a score of 8-1 at the No. 1 doubles spot, but Abington evened the match up with a win at second doubles. The No. 3 duo of Jake Bolles and Michael Hill won by forfeit to put Berks ahead 2-1.

Jacob Metzger (No. 5) and Bolles (No. 6) picked up a point by forfeit in singles play. Weber earned a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles and Hall was a 6-4, 6-0 winner at the third spot in the lineup. Ohline also won in straight sets with his 6-2, 6-1 triumph at the fourth spot. Uhle (No. 2) played the toughest battle of the afternoon, falling 6-2 in the first set. The senior won 6-3 in the second set and emerged victorious with a 10-7 win in the super tiebreaker.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Penn State Harrisburg for the regular season finale on Tuesday, April 20 at 3:30 p.m.
