Men's tennis cruises to conference win over LBC

READING, PA - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team stayed perfect in conference play with its 9-0 sweep over Lancaster Bible College in a Northern Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest on Wednesday afternoon at the Gring's Mill Tennis Courts.

The Nittany Lions won their seventh consecutive match to improve to 9-5 overall and 3-0 in the NAC, while the Chargers drop to 3-5 on the year and 2-1 in the conference.

The No. 1 doubles tandem of Will Byler and Ryan Fritz picked up a perfect 8-0 win, while Omar Rahmy and Mostafa Rahmy were also 8-0 winners at second doubles. Nick Volk and Diego Olazagasti had a tight match on their hands, but the duo came out on top by a score of 8-4 at third doubles.

Olazagasti (No. 3) and O. Rahmy (No. 4) were both 6-0, 6-0 winners in singles action, while M. Rahmy (No. 5) and Volk (No. 6) both took care of their matches by a 6-0, 6-1 margin. Byler won top singles 6-2, 6-2 and Fritz was had a 6-2, 6-1 triumph in the second spot.

The Nittany Lions will travel to Penn State Abington for the final conference games of the season on Saturday, April 22 at 11 a.m.
