RADNOR, PA - The Penn State Berks men's tennis team finished the fall portion of its schedule with a 7-2 victory over Cabrini College in a non-conference contest on Thursday afternoon at Dixon Tennis Courts.

The Nittany Lions (2-1) took an early lead after grabbing two of the doubles matches. The duo of Will Byler and Diego Olazagasti needed a 7-5 win in the tiebreaker to claim the No. 1 bout by a score of 9-8 over Alijah Broadnax and Sean Jaeger. The No. 3 pairing of Mostafa Rahmy and Nick Volk cruised to an 8-1 win. Ryan Fritz and Dylan Deleon fought hard, but fell 9-7 to Matthew DeMaria and Charles LaMantia in the second flight.

Byler continued his stellar play in singles with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Broadnax at the first spot. At No. 2 singles, Fritz dropped the opening set 4-6 before battling back with a 6-4 second win and 10-5 in the third set tiebreaker. Olazagasti (No. 4) won by a 6-0, 6-0 margin, while Deleon (No. 5) took his match by scores 6-2, 6-2. Volk picked up the final win of the day for Berks with a 6-2, 6-3 triumph at sixth singles.
