Briana Smith turned in a couple of strong performances in the pitcher's circle this past week. The senior, right-hander went 4-0 with 20 strikeouts and three runs (two earned) allowed over 24.2 innings of work. Smith allowed five hits and struck out five in a complete-game shutout over Penn State Abington. She followed that up with five strikeouts and three runs (two earned) in a win over Lancaster Bible College. Smith finished off the week with both wins and 10 strikeouts in a sweep of Gallaudet University.
