Collin Amerine turned in a solid performance in the Nittany Lions season finale on Saturday. The freshman catcher finished 2-for-3 with a double, home run, two RBI, and three runs scored. He smoked a two-run homer in the top of the seventh inning to even the game at 6-all. In the bottom of the eighth, he threw out a runner trying to steal third to end the inning.
