Briana Smith kick-started the 2021 season with a spectacular pitching performance. The sophomore right-hander tossed a one-hit, complete-game shutout victory in game one of a doubleheader sweep of Morrisville State. In addition, nine of the 15 outs recorded in the game were via strikeout by Smith. At the plate, Smith went 3-for-3 with a double, three RBI, and a two runs scored.
