Zoe Barna made a strong collegiate debut as she helped the Nittany Lions open the season with a 2-1 record at the Colonial Classic. The freshman outside hitter had a team-high 26 kills to go along with 13 digs, three assists, one solo block, and one block assist. In the season opening win over Smith College, Barna recorded 12 kills, five digs, one solo block and one block assist. She followed that up with seven kills against Western Connecticut State and Emmanuel College.
