Toby Welk stayed hot at the plate to help the Nittany Lions go 3-0 this past week. The senior shortstop batted .500 (6-for-12) with two doubles, three home runs, 11 RBI, six runs, and a stolen base. In addition, he had a .611 on-base percentage and a 1.417 slugging percentage in the three games. Welk went 3-for-5 with a double, two homers, five RBI, and four runs scored in a win on Friday over Lancaster Bible College. He followed one double and one RBI in a win in game one on Saturday versus LBC. Welk finished off the week with a grand slam, five RBI, and two runs scored as Berks swept the Chargers.
