Toby Welk had a strong showing at the plate this past week, batting .588 (10-for-17) with five extra base hits, 10 RBI, and nine runs scored. He had two or more hits and scored two or more runs in the final three games of the week. Welk went a career-best 5-for-5 with one double, two home runs, eight RBI, and four runs scored in a win over Wells. In his first at-bat of that game, Welk hit a two-run home run and his 201st career hit, which made him the all-time hits leader in program history.
