Val Miller turned in a stellar performance in the pitcher's circle this past week. The senior left-hander went 1-1 in the circle with two complete games, one shutout, three strikeouts and a 0.91 ERA in 15.1 innings pitched. Against regional powerhouse Moravian College, Miller scattered nine hits and allowed four runs (two earned) in 8.1 innings of work. She followed that up with a complete game, shutout in a 2-0 victory over Penn College. In that game, Miller surrendered just four hits, while striking out one batter in the winning effort. In addition, Miller batted .300 (3-for-10) with a double, a stolen base, and three runs scored.
