Latrell Carroll made a strong collegiate debut for the Nittany Lions this past week. The freshman forward averaged 19.5 points on 70.8% shooting from the floor (17-of-24). In addition, the big man averaged 7.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.5 blocks, and 1.5 assists per game. Carroll recorded a double-double in the season opener with 26 points (12-of-14 shooting from the floor) and 12 boards against Elizabethtown College. He also had three blocks, three assists, and two steals. Carroll followed that up with 13 points and three rebounds against Alvernia University.
