In a win against Swarthmore, Toby Welk went 4-for-4 at the plate and set the single-game school record for home runs (3), RBI (10), and tied the program record in runs scored (4). Splitting time at third and DH, the freshman finished the week 8-for-19 with eight runs scored, 13 RBI, five extra base hits, and four walks to help the Nittany Lions (8-1) get off to their best start in program history. Welk recorded three putouts and 11 assists with just one error for the week.
