posted a 5-1 record against conference competition this past week, registering 1.62 earned run average in those contests with 41 strikeouts while giving up just 11 runs (8 earned) on 29 hits and walking nine in 34.2 innings of work. Hafer’s only blemish came in a 1-0 loss to Penn State Harrisburg Wednesday, where she gave up just two hits and no earned runs while striking out five batters through six innings. That followed her four-strikeout performance in game one of the doubleheader between the two teams, where she picked up a win in the 4-1 victory. She was also stellar through the weekend, recording 19 K’s and allowing just four earned runs in two wins over Gallaudet University Saturday before striking out 13 more batters and giving up just three earned runs in a sweep of Penn State Abington Sunday. Hafer is now 10-2 on the year with 80 strikeouts and a 1.85 ERA, which is the second best mark in the conference. For her strong perfromance, she was named the NEAC Pitcher of the Week.
